IPD established its service in Canada in 2002. This was done in consultation with ICREIM and with assistance from our partners Altus Group Economic Consulting.  Our Canadian service is operated from our Chicago office and offers a full range of comparative products to clients, including standard and bespoke benchmark reports and detailed market information on the Canadian commercial property market.

As at December 2008, the ICREIM / IPD Canadian property index was based upon 2,569 properties worth Ca $96.5 bn. ICREIM / IPD have produced results for the Canadian market from 2000 to 2008, with Frank Russell producing the index series from 1985 to 1999. Due to our extensive databank we are able to produce indices on an annual basis and benchmark reports on a quarterly basis.
